I am Nakato Jane Francis 64years old, a resident of Kiwumu village Kamengo in Mpigi district. My life was miserable with financial challenges after the death of my husband in 2013.
I used to move village to village in such for finances to sustain the family, it was not until 2018 when a friend told me about MPEWU Credit Finance. We formed our group called Kiwumu B, after we were able to apply for a group loan.
I got my first loan of 200,000/= which I used to buy 100 coffee cutting seedlings which I added on the ones I had already planted. Then in 2020 I got another loan,used some of that money to construct a shade for animals.The coffee grew well & started giving me good harvest as well the animals also grew up & started producing.
I have been using the money I earn from both projects to educate my son who by then was in senior one & I have managed to educate him up to university where by he is completing his Degree in Jounarism this year 2023.
By the time my beloved husband died, our house was incomplete, we used to stay in darkness or use candle at night but with the money I got from farming financed by MPEWU,
I have been able to complete our house also bought solar panels to provide light at night. I have achieved all by being honest & patience while working hard but mostly by the group loans I have been getting from MPEWU which has helped me to develop & prosper financially & economically.
